Sub Houses Fix

Feature Set:

  • Previously if you play as a sub house the game would crash when you selected a unit
  • If your house index is invalid this patch defaults it to Ordos and does not crash
  • NEW: Fixes the score calculation crash, note your displayed score will be incorrect, but it will allow you to progress through the campaign properly now.
  • NEW: Other house sounds now supported in addition to the unit report sounds previously supported (e.g. Building Complete, Harvester Under Attack)
  • This patch is only for Dune 2000 version 1.06
  • Supports and enhances mods such as [aKa]FedaYkin’s Mercenary campaign

Feature Set:

  • This is a release of a mission selector for Dune 2000. Currently supporting both Dune 2000 1.02 and Dune 2000 1.06 versions (Separate downloads for each below.) Make sure you download the correct version for your version of Dune 2000. If you don’t know what version you have of Dune, run the game and look in the bottom-right corner of the main menu.
  • Please note in the main menu list screen the new Select Mission button and the screen it will bring up.

D2kx Memory Tool

Create hotkeys for spice, debugging, starport units and many many more. But also change memory based on other memory addresses to create unique mods!

What you can do is almost endless. Here are some examples:

  • Display debug information or increase spice amount with one key press.
  • Jump between (player) sides with the numpad keys.
  • In mission 9, for example, give spice automatically to your ally if it goes below a certain value.

In mission 6, for example, change diplomacy based on any trigger you want.

Please explore and experiment to your heart’s content. Post questions and suggestions in this topic. Also share new memory addresses that can be added to the program.

  • [Bug] Don’t use enters in comments. If you did and get an error, open the file with a text editor (Notepad++ for example) and remove them. Key- and Memory trigger files also save memory addresses, they perhaps also need fixing.
  • Version 1.1 brings production queue memory addresses shipped with the program (as well as instant atreides build example).
  • Version 1.2 brings liorlevi99 list with lots of building time settings. Only for Atreides, Harkonnen and Ordos currently, but this can probably easily be adjusted for other sides.

A menu designed for mission designers in Dune 2000. It allows you access to numerous features normally unavailable to players.
Feature Set:

  • Change Difficulty during game
  • Switch house your are playing as during game
  • Exit the game from the pause menu

Change numerous skirmish settings, such as color options normally not present as well as worm count (requires mission restart to apply)

To access the menu, select the “Game Settings” option from the in-game pause menu.

High Resolution Patch

Please read the readme files carefully, and also the notes below.

The patch is finally ready, and the bugs like crashes in starport menu are gone now. You can finally play Dune 2000 in hi-res, which makes selecting units and pending to the map a lot easier. Please note: in order to get both the sub-houses fix and the mission select mod working with the script, you should install both BEFORE you apply the high-res patch. It is also advised (according to the readme) to install the patch on a fresh copy of Dune 2000, without old hi-res patches or unfinished mods. The vanilla (original CD) version of Dune 2000 and the patched-for-multiplayer version (with Windows 7 fixes & IPX fixes) are supported. As of 1.4.0 there is also support for undoing the patch.

Update: 1.4.1 is now available, which adds acceptable 8-bit support.


Editor Note: Please note that this does not work with the CnCNet patch or the GruntMods Edition, as they use a newer incompatible version of the patching framework, which includes a newer version of the High Resolution patch that works with online multiplayer.

Build Queues Patch

  • This patch introduces unit build queueing (like more modern RTS’s) in campaign and practice modes. Selecting an unavailable unit build option will queue that unit to build after the current unit(s) being built.
  • Built using the new Patching Framework, this patch also includes everything published to the central framework up to 4 Sept 2014 (such as the new High Res Patch, new Sub Houses Fix).
  • This patch is only for Dune 2000 version 1.06
